wowpow
The new guy is our very own Phil Graham well known for his tenure at Farang Services real estate. Sticky Rice is already the leading gay newsletter distributed in gay establishments. Phil has great experience in publishing and is currently gathering information and doing some market research before tackling his plans to take the free mag way upmarket and make it a much more exciting read, glossy illustrations and photos and linking it closely to the gay communities of Thailand. Phil has been extensively involved in publishing both in Costa Rica and the US. He is well aware of comments already made on some boards especially those regarding the cover photos. If you have constructive suggestions, wish to contribute articles or interest in advertising in this exciting new gay departure please message below or e-mail Phil at [email protected]
Ijustwannateach
Hmmmm.... how about a printed amateur swimsuit photo contest (no porn, no gogo boys or bar workers) with a cash prize and modelling opportunity as incentive for the winners? You could advertise for submissions in the Thai papers; people could vote with a coupon in the magazine (or maybe at some of the selected gay establishments advertised). That might make the photo talent more interesting, more varied, and less, um, tired!
ChrisP
You might also want to seriously consider changing the name.. "Sticky Rice" in the West, is a term meaning "An Asian guy who is ONLY into other Asian Guys"... This won't attract a lot of Farang Readers, IMHO. siamesekitty
Hi, I know I don't belong in this part of the forum but just really curious... would the name happen to have anything to do with a Thai dessert called "khao niew thua dam" (sticky rice with black beans)? P.S. Honestly have no intention of offending naka.. (for those who don't know, the latter part is slang... I think you can guess without me going into detail)
