News_Editor
Actor John Travolta accused of sexually harassing masseur < br /> 2012-05-09 20:38:25 GMT+7 (ICT) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (BNO NEWS) -- Academy Award-nominated actor John Travolta was sued on Tuesday after a sexual battery complaint was issued by a masseur in Atlanta, Georgia, the second in less than a week.A masseur, whose identity was not released, alleges that he was hired to give Travolta a massage at his hotel room on the fifteenth floor of an Atlanta hotel on January 28 when he was sexually harassed.According to the complaint, Travolta began by removing the entire sheet from his body because they "were sticky and [he] could not tolerate the heat." The actor then allegedly asked for his buttocks to be massaged, and while the masseur massaged near the area, Travolta allegedly "would open his legs and spread his butt cheeks open and had a full erection and would maneuver in a way to try to force [the plaintiff] to touch his anus and around his anus."Attorney Okorie Okorocha, who is representing both plaintiffs, filed an amended complaint in Los Angeles charging Travolta with sexual harassment in addition to the initial charges of sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The first complaint refers to an alleged incident on January 16 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. According to the documents, at one point, Travolta removed his draping and was fully erect when he began masturbating. In a statement, Travolta's rep had previously stated that the lawsuit is "a complete fiction and fabrication. None of the events claimed in the suit ever occurred." Furthermore, the rep stated that Travolta was not in California on that date and could easily prove he was on the East Coast. "The plaintiff, who refuses to give their name, knows that the suit is a baseless lie. It is for that reason that the plaintiff hasn't been identified with a name, even though it is required to do so," the statement said. "On the date when plaintiff claims John met him, John was not in California, and it can be proved that he was on the East Coast. Plaintiff's attorney has filed this suit to try and get his 15 minutes of fame. John intends to get this case thrown out, and then he will sue the attorney and Plaintiff for malicious prosecution," the rep added.Travolta, 58, from Englewood, New Jersey, is married to actress Kelly Prestom and had three children with her. Their oldest son Jett died in 2009 from a seizure during a vacation trip to the Bahamas. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2012-05-

TAWP
Since every baseless case still causes some to stick - perhaps it would be alright to lock these kind of suits in NDA's until verdict or settlement is reached...

Popular Post GentlemanJim
The plantiff said in court of Mr Travolta "He had chills, they were multiplying, and he was losing control, but the power, he was supplying...was electrifying'. He said to me "He needed more than a woman, and that if I cant have you, you should be dancing. Now quit the jive talkin and get the Grease and show me how deep is your love. So look at me I am Sandra Dee and you are Freddy my love. There are worse things I could do but you were born to hand jive and soon there will be tears on my pillow". Popular Post KeyserSoze01
It appears a second masseuse has come forward making similar allegations against Mr Saturday Night Fever. Popular Post geriatrickid
I think the masseur is taking advantage of other allegations that have long surrounded Mr. Travolta. I note that he is a Scientologist (The religion invented by L. Ron Hubbard) and Scientology does not look kindly on homosexuality. Rather than offer a repeat of what I consider to be hateful garbage, I instead direct you to Google the subject. I would not be surprised if Mr. Travolta is leading a very painful personal life. That being said, I think these allegations are a shakedown attempt.

Popular Post Yunla
Perspective is important when starting-out & choosing ones career goals. Its too late to cry about it later on & it is honourable to remember your position in the game. John Travolta career high ; "Pulp Fiction". This masseur's career high ; massaging John Travolta's buttocks. Perspective is crucial. If this was an actual rape or assault case it would be completely different, but not when the charge is "intentional infliction of emotional distress" , because a masseur sees an anus / erection. The gay/not gay thing is nobody's business except Travolta's. The masseur could have chosen to be a postman or a baker instead, if naked humans make him squeamish. It is actually insulting & upsetting for genuine rape-victims to read about this kind of callous opportunism.
Popular Post OzMick
No happy ending then? GK re your implication that Travolta can't be homosexual because his religion frowns on it, I have forwarded this to the Vatican for use in their defence of boy-buggering priests. I'm sure that they will be grateful. BTW Scientology is a religion based on aliens invented by a science fiction writer. Any body with an IQ higher than their shoe size would be highly sceptical.

What hateful garbage has been written or printed? Googling the subject leads you to some really hateful stuff. Do we apply the time honored principle of Smoke and Fire here? Was Michael Jackson innocent? I think probably, but he led a lifestyle that left him susceptible to people seeking to take advantage, same with Mr Travolta. He obviously had some Body Thetans waiting to get out! Yunla Being a professional masseur does not mean you automatically should be assumed to give handjobs and BJ's to clients. A professional masseur should be just as shocked at having an anus or erection thrust in front of them as anybody else. There is no reason at all for a professional masseur to be exposed to the sexual organs, particularly when they are in a state of excitement. Most of them are Physiotherapists, not hookers. Agree on the MJ thing, I think he was a heavy drug user and emotional simpleton, not anything more sinister than that. Re; masseurs I agree in a perfect world all clients should have the same rights, but in the real world A-List celebs and billionaires are modern Emperors. You can't treat Travolta the same as you treat a regular guy off the street. You have to give them allowances because they are the ultra-rich. That is capitalism, if you are massaging an eccentric billionaire you should allow for his eccentricity & bear in mind you are subservient to him. In addition we are both basing this discussion on the premise that Travolta was erect etc. infact we don't know this to be true. Nobody is saying that masseur should be forced to perform sex (of any type), but the whole "Im traumatised and want $2m because I saw his boner & a-hole" is absurd. It is genuinely offensive to the millions of legitimate rape/abuse victims who are attacked by non-billionaires on a daily basis, and recieved nothing in compensation at all & often not even conviction of the offender.

I agree, 2 million US for seeing a boner is a tad extreme, if that were the way things were I would be running down to the gym throwing porno mags in to the shower rooms and claiming PTSD from seeing erections I could retire after a good afternoon. The levels of compensation for litigation are out of control in the US. Just as a judge looks at a convicted criminal at sentencing and thinks does this crime deserve 30 years in jail, he should be looking at the plaintiff in a class action and thinking 'does this mans claim to trauma deserve 30 years salary paymernts'? As for your comments concerning Emperors, rich and being subservient..........not in a million years! Are you serious that being ultra rich means that people should automatically give you respect and be subservient?

But the ultra-rich are often eccentric & it is an employees responsibility to bear that in mind. A-listers are like a seperate species and should be handled with caution, lol. Its not fair, but a guy wandering the streets naked is "crazy", a billionaire doing the same is "eccentric". Sad but true.

Lost in LOS
There have always been rumors that he was gay, kind of looks the part but........ great opportunity for a masseuse to make millions instead of hundreds. Sounds like a good opportunity to me. I doubt Travolta, being famous as he is, would make a pass unless the other guy gave some signals
Credo
Travolta probably miscalculated on this one. He is probably quite accustomed to getting his jollies this way, but got this one wrong. I mean why would he go pick up the guy and then take him home? I don't think this would have happened unless Travolta was looking for something special from this guy. kerryk
You have to feel kind of sorry for people who live under that kind of sexual repression. I spent last weekend in Pattaya with the GF and if John had come with us, no proplem mister. Know what I mean? Sexually harassing a masseur! Get real. The whole position thing is wrong. The harasser and the harassee are in the wrong positions.

True enough. Then again a religion based on an imaginary 'being' who came out of nowhere and created everything around us in six days and then had a lie down on the seventh takes a bit of believing as well! Should always be remembered that.it was men who created gods, not the other way around.

theblether
It's a lot cr*p..........as mentioned on the day he was supposed to have been molesting the first masseuse on the West Coast, he was actually filming 3,000 miles away on the East Coast. 18th January to be exact. The second massuese is being represented by the same lawyer as the first one. It reeks, if it is found to be a false allegation Travolta should sue the lawyer as well as the two accusers. Lawyers should have a duty of care before they make public accusations. Now we are discussing the sex life and reputation of a man that appears in this instance to be totally innocent, stories like this hang around like a bad smell, there is always someone prepared to believe that there's no smoke without fire. I'm glad I'm not famous. Edited May 10, 2012 by Scott formatting
