I notice when I view my profile that I have over 4900 views and that this figure might increase by many each day.

However, when I look at the last 5 visitors to my profile, they date back days and sometimes months.

So, my question is, "What is the difference between views and visits?"

It's possible they were guests, that is not logged in, when visiting.
