Chalerm: Those MPs Left Out Of The Cabinet To See Thaksin

Sometimes I wonder if there is a Thai word for irony.......Yingluck keeps insisting she is deciding appointments, and yet wannabe MPs keep flying over to see Thaksin. Hmmmm.... Reminds me of the old adage that if you want to know the truth , pay no attention whatsoever to what a person says, and pay very close attention to what they do.

Thaksin's role in this government is rapidly moving into the theater of the absurd. Imagine a corral area, with a feeding trough in the middle of it. A bunch of pigs are lined up at the feeding trough happily eating. But outside the corral are more hungry pigs lined up wanting to get inside to the feeding trough. Thaksin's role seems to be one of gatekeeper at the corral gate, as he is deciding which of the pigs outside get to go in and start feeding.....

I actually love living here in Thailand, it is the government I detest. They are a true millstone around the necks of wonderful Thai people...

Wonder if flying pigs have night vision radar?laugh.png also how long landing strip they need.whistling.gif

You guys are killing me now !!! cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif Just need to take the flying pig picture and superimpose onto the air route from Bangkok to Kunming. By the way, air quality in Kunming is beyond horrific. I hope they do not stay too long in order to maintain their health. Regarding jimsrant,

it is clear that speaking and writing Thai has NOT assisted him in the understanding of Thai politics.

Golfing with Thaksin won't get MPs into Cabinet: Chalerm

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung yesterday took a swipe at Pheu Thai MPs planning to meet former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra in China, saying they were upset at having been left out of the Cabinet.

"In my personal opinion, those having to beg for the job will not get to join the Cabinet," he said.

Chalerm was referring to a group of MPs planning to travel to Kunming to play golf with Thaksin.

He said many misunderstood Thaksin's role in Cabinet reshuffles, as Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra had the final say in the matter.

"PM Yingluck has made it clear she will not shuffle the Cabinet at this juncture," he said.

He said, however, that he did not anticipate a rift within Pheu Thai over the Cabinet line-up despite differing opinions among MPs.

Meanwhile, former Thai Rak Thai (TRT) executive Pinij Chantarasurin said he and a number of the now-defunct party's 111 barred former executives planned to meet Thaksin for a round of golf.

Pinij said barred TRT former executive Wichit Plangsrisakul and red-shirt leader Suporn Attawong would join the golf game.

Following the meeting with Thaksin, the 111 would team up with former prime minister Somchai Wongsawat and his wife Yaowapha to support Pheu Thai candidate Kasem Nimmolrat's campaign for the upcoming Chiang Mai by-election, he said.

But maybe those extra large side bets on the golf games that they lose for millions of baht,

WILL BE ENOUGH INCENTIVE TO THE BOSS,

TO MAKE CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS

You must be new to Thailand. He can do any thing he wants. You try to call the cabinet when they are in session like he has done and get back to us with how they all listened to you.

I am convinced that the Puppet Meister General must have a longing to have a white persian cat and be the bad guy in a James Bond movie. In global terms his wealth is well down the charts yet he has visions of dominating a nation. What could Zuckerberg, Gates and Buffet do if they put their mind to it?

The Puppet Meister General is destined to lose. Many people think that wealth is a measure of success, indeed that is what many of the puppets think, but what success is there in life when you are the puppet?

I find the practice of playing golf in 5 ball groups inThailand extremely irritating. The thought of a 112 ball collection making their way around the course doesn't bear thinking about. Are they trying to get into the Guiness Book of Records?

Can anybody imagine 112 idiots dressed by John Daly and/or Ian Poulter on the first tee? Now there's a picture I'd like to see.

There is something very wrong with these wannabees again playing golf, a game based on and renowned for good sportsmanship, good manners and strict observation of the rules. Any putt less than 40 feet will of course be a 'gimme' for Thaksin.

Lots of hole in ones? I am guessing.

"Kim Jong-il is the best golfer in the world, hands down. On his first ever trip to the golf course, he shot 38-under par, including 5 hole-in-ones! This is reported by the government controlled media. He routinely shoots 3 or 4 hole-in-ones every time out."
