brit1984
I think we need to think more about the Thai cricket league What should it be called? Should the teams be provincial or city based? How many teams should be in the top division? Should there be promotion and relegation? How many days should the games be? Anything else we need to think about? mrtoad
At the risk of sounding outstandingly boring did you know that!!!..........there is an excellent amatuer cricket 7's tournament held every year in Chiang Mai?. Very well attended, loads of international teams, and therefore I shall now suggest that next year we should enter a Thaivisa team!!! It's actually 6's held annually around song kran time.....but a ThaiVisa team perhaps 7 would be the ticket!!! CM sixes is by invite only, and most of the teams that go there have been going for many years. The Bangkok and HUa HIn Sixes are similar. The ACST events in BKK, Pattaya, Phuket are open entry and are very good fun. There are two main expat teams in Bangkok , Southerners and Siam CC . Phuket also has a cricket league of a few teams. There are several grounds in BKK Thai CRicket GRound, AIT, Harrow School and POlo Club. Pattaya also has new ground. tHere are also teams in PHuket and Chiang Mai, and social cricket weekly on Koh Chang. Thais and westerners are all involved. Thai cricket has been mainly dominated by Indian Thais, but there are more THais playing with the youth cricket initiatives.
harrry
Now that StreetCowboy is exhausted from his League commentary and has hit the sack, brit1984 is also, presumably, catching up on some beauty sleep, kevjohn hasn't brewed his first cuppa (no need to mention the coffee) and the rest of the team are still in the Dressing Room could it be time to discuss this? World Revolves around Cricket (Been saving that one for a while) Indeed scientific evidence like this will be important to back up our case when presenting our plan to the Thai government... evidence.....?.....stacks of paper true. kevjohn
Well guys Time for me to front up at the crease and face another ball. Have me sights set on a ton x 10 so need to settle in, play the ball well and score some singles. Like to thank all my batting partners that have stood behind beside me, or were ever, and helped me achive this score in my first cricket match, while helping to promote why "Thailand Needs Cricket". If anyone wishes to critisize my way of playing, feel free. I can only learn when I am corrected. So let em come...sort..long...high....low or whatever, but mainly "what ever"
