So the Minister popped out for a dawn round of golf before the Sunday service, hoping that none of his parishioners would notice his profane Sunday relaxation

"Would you just look at the sheer affrontery of that man?" exclaimed the angel Gabriel to his Heavenly Employer.

"Aye, well" says the Boss Fella, "we'll soon sort him out"

"Aye - go on. Bolt of Lighting! Flash flood? Maybe a pestilence..."

and as the minister plays his next shot, the ball sweeps sweetly through the air to rattle round the rim and settle in the hole.

Gabriel turns, slightly askance, to the Heavenly Father.

"Wait - wait - there's more"

Gabriel is almost beside himself with anticipation as the Minister tees up on the second.

Just as sweetly, the ball falls against the pin and settles in the hole without even touching the side.

and this goes on for sixteen more holes

"Well, really, Heavenly Father, I don't see how that was much of a punishment at all"

"I know - who's he going to tell?!" the Creator giggled.
