Day-Night Hotel

Featured Replies

Anyone know what's happening with the former Day-Night Hotel? It's been totally gutted and is being done over, a process that's been going on for ages, but to be a hotel or condo or ??

It's appearance certainly seems heading toward being an improvement over its former state, but the location is an unlikely draw for either a high end hotel or quality condo.

Certainly needed a paint job. I'm sure they are just cleaning it up.

From what I've heard; Day-Night-I and Day-Nite-2 (including a bunch of shophouses in this area) were purchased by a wealthy Thai-chap from Bangkok. Both hotels are being completely renovated (from the post & beam stage forward) and will be operated again as hotels, once completed.

It used to be the hotel of choice for Indian visitors and I don't know of any reason that would change after the renovation but we will see since they appear to be on the last stages of re-construction

I think it amounts to more than a clean-up and touch of paint. Just about everything aside from the walls and floors was removed, along with the hideous sign.
