The Economy

A businessman walks into a hotel in a small town.

He tells the owner "I'm just passing through this town, I'm not sure if I'll stay the night, but I'd like to reserve a room". He leaves $100 refundable deposit for the room, and goes about his business.

The hotel owner takes $100 to the butcher, and pays off his debt for meat

The butcher takes $100 to the farmer, and pays off his debt

The farmer goes to the off license, and pays $100 off his booze bill

The off license owner pays $100 off his debt to the local hooker

The local hooker pays off her $100 debt to the hotel...

Meanwhile, the businessman finishes his business and returns. "Seems I finished early, I won't be staying after all". He takes back his $100 and goes on his way...

And that, my friends, is how the economy is currently being run...
