I need to ship a fruit crate size box from the west coast weighing around 15 pounds from the US to Bangkok but I was not able to find anything under 200US using the US postal service.

What about splitting it up? I believe EMS gets here in well under 3 weeks but it's not guaranteed. For that kind of money you should check DHL/FedEx, or even the unaccompanied baggage services from the airport.

usps will be cheaper on small items ,professional delivery companies usually beat them when it gets a bit larger/heavier than a shoe box

try dhl ,fedex is maybe the fastest but you dont need to pay their premium for such speed

Unless it has changed, DHL offer three levels of service which all fall in the 3 week range.
