Hello I am woundering if anybody has tried to get a immigration visa for there Thai wife. I am married to her and we have a boy now. we were together for 2 years during my work in Thailand. I have returned to Canada and have all the required documents (marriagepapers, familyhistory, medical, policeclearance certificate, ETC) I had all the doc's translated and notorised in Thailand by the Thai ministry and the Canadian Embassy also notarised all the doc's. (AT a big cost about 14 doc's were done in BKK)

My question is with all the required paper work done and now I am submitting it all what is the usual wait time does anybody know. And my biological sun.

SHE was not a bar girl and I do have a good job

Just curious, why did you wait until you returned to Canada before you started this process? I am not familiar with Canada, but I seem to recall they are wanting people to come so I don't think you should have much trouble.

It would be nice if Canada immigration was the same as the US. You have to remember how arrogrant the Canada Gov't is and there employes. To quote the application

" things that hold up processing a)inquirinng about the status of the application" So you see the Gov't of Canada even posts how arrogant they are. If I inquire the papers could end up on the bottom and the process who really knows....And the next time I read a posting on here about the Thai Gov't I will let them know about the Canadian political system and how gross-lee managedit is compared to the Thai Gov't, this comes from experience living and working in Thailand. One other thing if you do ask them even with a smile and being curtious to them then they really get mad HOW DARE YOU QUESTION US OR ASK QUESTIONS when it is done it is done they say.

Another point is we are told we are living in a free press society,,,BULLSHIT,,,The media here is controled by the Gov't..so the media would never say to much about the inncopetence of the Gov't and the way it treats its people except the politicans will attack each other for political gane.

So if anybody has any information let me know.

Woooooo Settle down Willy,

If you are a Canadian citizen and you're married to your wife, have a son and she has no medical ailments or criminal record they cannot refuse you. Also if they do you can sue them in Canada, that's the beauty of having a constitution. :o

I do understand we have a constitution, but have you ever tried to use it? The constitution is there for the gov't to coverup its abuses and neglect to its people. My son is 7months old and by the time I try to sue the govt and win my case they would break any bank with legalities and my son would most likley finish his university degree in Thailand....And I could be dead by the time I won my case.. Please read past cases against the govt in anything, the constitution is there to protect them.

I do know my family will get here some day I just hope it is before my son goes to school. And to give you heads up on the govt I have been around the system for 20 years

William,

I know you will prevail and it wouldn't take the 20 years you're talking about to get action in a court.....It's a waiting game that you've already won All the best in the New Year!! :o
