edwardandtubs
I need an interpreter to help me make a claim in the Labour Court. Online they're asking for silly money like 2000 baht an hour but there must be better value than that around. Anyone have a recommendation? Edit: I'm talking about an oral interpreter, not a document translation service. Edited May 23, 2012 by edwardandtubs

FritsSikkink
Don't you need a Thai lawyer who speaks English?
edwardandtubs
Don't you need a Thai lawyer who speaks English? Not really. The Labour Court has its own lawyers who help employees make claims but they insist on you bringing your own interpreter.
djjamie
Yingluck Shinawatra would come pretty cheap, but then you get what you pay for. Overcome instead of Welcome. I got a good interpretor from Khon Kaen University. I just asked for the English department and I asked students out the front of it. Some students were terrible, but I got one for 300 baht an hour and she spoke perfect English.
mitchell44
PM me. I would be glad to publicize the interpreter's contact details but I believe this violates certain forum rules.
