As most people know, fitness centers such as CA Wow make their profits by selling memberships. Unfortunately (according to my BKK buddies) CA Wow is going to close two of their centers in Bangkok, one being in Silom which is always busy. The one in Pattaya doesn't really sell long time memberships since most of the people there are short term (tourists). Has anyone heard about what the future is for CA Wow in Pattaya?

I would imagine the Pattaya "pump and dump" operation isn't long for this world either.

There's a very good on-going discussion on this topic in the Pattaya News Clippings section (moderated by Tropo thumbsup.gif ).

Pattaya will remain opened or the worst that could happen is that the club is sold to another owner.

They sell the long term memberships as any other club.

Who might be interested in the lease, equipment, and membership list but not the actual members themselves. They would certainly not buy the existing (non-profitable) memberships...only the list to sell them another "life time" membership. (This being Thailand, and people having many lives [re-incarnations], this is perfectly understandable.)
