Good Sauna Or Steam Room With Swimming Pool

Featured Replies

Does anybody have a good recommendation for a sauna or steam room in the Chiang Mai area. I am looking for a place that also has a swimming pool. A good place to relax for a few hours in the afternoon. Maybe one of the better hotels would be an option if they allow ouside guests? Also some idea of the cost. Many thanks in advance.

Centara Duang Tawan hotel , 200THB for non guests.

Centara Duang Tawan is also 1299 for a 1 month membership. Pool,Gym,Sauna,Steam and locker room with lots of towels on the floor.

Thanks for the above suggestions. Any more recommendations??

Can't let a request like this go without a plug for the better half's place...

Despite the obvious bias, I genuinely like the sauna, pool and atmosphere at Rawee Waree Resort. I believe the pool's free for non-guests as long as you're availing yourself of services such as the coffee shop or restaurant. Sauna's b500.

Rawee Waree is a nice place, restaurant serves decent food and the pool looks great (haven't swam in it yet). Are there saunas for both men and women?

The sauna's unisex - couples are no problem because it's a "1 customer(s) at a time" kind of deal not a communal affair...

If you were in a group of men and women and required separate saunas, they do have two so that's possible too.

Many guys (both inside and outside the webboard) recommend a lot about Centara Duangtawan fitness, are there any other hotels good fitness?

Raree Waree is quite far from the city.

Sounds very nice. Where are you located??

They have a reasonably easy to follow map to the place, on their site http://www.raweewareeresort.com/location.htm?_lang=en

I would be interested in something a little more up market than dungtawan. There is shangri la but last time I checked it was 30k a year with no possibility for a couples membership. Any others?

The city of Hang Dong late last year opened their pool and sauna along with a weight training room. They also have a full size football field and running track around said football field. The only charges are for the pool, weight room and sauna. All are number one as I can see. PM me if you want directions.

Last year someone died in the pool due to severe leg cramps and the others at the pool thought that he was just playing. Because of that, some of the locals will not use the pool again, my wife incuided.
