If I Over Stayed 7 Days, Would I Be Allowed Back Into Thailand Again ?

Featured Replies

Hi Appoligies if this has been covered elsewhere.

I have messed up my travel plans dates ect for my holiday to amazing Thailand. I arrived and got the 30 day visa for Australians, but i will be here for 36 days. I could do a land border crossing that will allow me an extra 14 - 15 days, but with my itineriy either way i go, it looks as if i could over stay 5 -6 days (i hope this is all making sense). I sopose my question is, if i pay the fine at the airport for over stay 5 - 6 days, will i be frowned apon from returning to Thailand again ?

This would devastate me and my girlfriend. I am catching up with a long time expat in a week or so, i am hoping he can give me some answers, but in the mean time i found this web site hoping to gain any helpful information.

Thank you

No, you would get a stamp in your passport stating you have overstay but it would be no problem getting a new visa or entry into Thailand.

You could visit an immigration office with passport and ticket out and get an extra 7 days for 1,900 baht. you would also need to bring a passport size photo and go a day before your permisison to stay ends.

Go to immigration and get a 7 day extension.,It may cost you 1900 baht but saves the very slight risk of being stopped on the way to the border and being idetained and then possibly deported. It can happen if by mischance the police stop you for any reason. Slight chance but safer to be sure.
