NEXT STEP OVERLOADED TRUCKS /OVERWORKED BUS DRIVERS, ANOTHER T.V. COMMERCIAL CAMPAIGN TARGETTING THIS AREA TO RAISE AWARENESS, COMPANY RESPONSIBILITIES. If a leader could implement these sweeping changes for the better & show results, his/ her voter karma would skyrocket.

Observation - As a rough estimate only around 10~15% of Thai motorcyclist will bother with a helmet, either wear one all the time, or don the helmet when the enter areas with a high likelihood of being caught by the cops.

The other 85~90% don't even have the foresight to carry a helmet as a cop dodging strategy.

Meanwhile helmet compliance amongst Thailand's sports cyclist is near 100% - OK Thais like dressing up, but go figure.

Not necessarily. Wearing a helmet, you may be able to walk away from an accident with a few scrapes. Not wearing one might leave you in hospital as a vegetable.
