Mother of famous Thai actor arrested in East Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Police arrested the mother of a well known Thai Actor on Sunday Night, accused of issuing a cheque which was unable to be cashed due to insufficient funds.

Armed with an arrest warrant, Banglamung Police went to the home of Khun Boonyaporn aged 54 in Soi Chaypreuk 2 in East Pattaya. Her son is Khun Atishart, better known as “Aum”, a well-known Thai Actor who is currently starring in a series broadcasting on Thai National TV Channel 3. Khun Torbat aged 44 filed a Police report against Khun Boonyaporn after she was unable to cash a cheque for 1.5 Million Baht which was in payment for an outstanding debt.

Khun Boonyaporn used the money to set-up an illegal money lending service where she charged customers up to 60% interest. Her customers failed to pay but Khun Boonyaporn still issued the cheque to Khun Torbat knowing it would “bounce”.
