Things thai people do that make no sense
She didn't kill the pig. Thais don't really do causality. They release imprisoned animals, believing that it is good karma, when, in reality, they are causing those animals to suffer, making bad karma for themselves. -

Krungsri Bank - username suspended. Please contact any Krungsri branch near you
Banking is getting tighter/more restrictive. I've had similar problems with accessing USA bank from Thailand. I have to use a VPN located in USA and if OTP is necessary it needs to go to a USA number. You may want to consider using a VPN located in Thailand and have the ability to receive an OTP to the registered Thai number (which I'm guessing will require you to have roaming). Good luck. I've always considered banking/financials is a moving target, just when you have it all figured out, they will change something. -

'Disgraceful’: Critics blast Trump for latest move 'doing Putin’s bidding’
Somewhat pedantic but replace 'countless' with 'numerous' if you wish. Russia. Btw who founded Louisiana? The New England States, etc? -

What a Palaver.......
It was for retirement and they did not stamp and sign the statement. Nothing to distinguish the statement they provided and the ones I downloaded. -

What do locals think of foreigners living in rural parts of Thailand on very modest budgets?
I know it well, the karaoke disappeared but there is another one just opened up right in the middle of that village. I am only a couple of km from there Personally I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, not far from surin , not far from the border, I could be in Angkor Wat in 3 hours and the added bonus of the quietest friendliest immigration one could hope for,and if driving anywhere like Huahin for example its 4 lanes all the way -

Trump has abandoned the Ukraine.
Well we Europeans are grateful( or should be) the massive cost of NATO was shouldered by the US, and as a result trillions since 1940s, European countries could spend the savings on free health care for all and a decent welfare system. Trump has put a spanner in the works, Europeans are supposed to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP, the UK currently spends just over 2%, there is no way the UK or other countries can make that target without getting rid of the benefits system. But the master stroke is the war in Ukraine will continue, but it is the Europeans that will pay for it, Europe does not have the heavy industry to produce weapons in the quantities needed, so they will have to buy the equipment from the US, sadly for the Russians and Ukrainians they will continue to die, but the rewards for the Industrial and Military complex will be increasing- 1
