PM RECHARGED AND READY TO GO BACK TO WORK

Prime Minister Thaksin Shinnawat said he is ready to go back to work, after having spent some holidays with family during New Year holidays.

Prime Minister Thaksin said that he had fully rested and is now ready to work hard for the country. He said that many work is waiting for him, such as anti-poverty caravan in Art Samart (อาจสามารถ) district in Roi-et (ร้อยเอ็ด), the mobile cabinet meeting in Loei (เลย), another meeting with ambassadors concerning the government’s mega projects.

The premier said that on January 11, he will meet Thai businessmen to seek an understanding on Thailand’s economic direction, adding that if the businessmen do not understand the policies, economic growth this year may stall. He said that the economic growth target this year will be set at around 5-6%.
