mackes
I want to set up a business in Thailand with only Thai employeers. Do I need a work permit for this and if so how easy is it to get it? I have a non-O with stay extension today.
Sunbelt Asia
If your Managing Director will also be Thai then you do not need a work permit but if you plan on signing documents for the company and acting on its behalf then you will need a work permit. You can get one if you have 2 million Baht in capitalization (or 1 million Baht if your wife is Thai) and four Thai employees. You cannot get a work permit on a retirement extension If you are located in Bangkok please feel free to contact us to make an appointment for a free consultation to discuss your plans [sunbelt][/sunbelt]
