I'm usually against mobs like these but in this case, good show Yellow Shirts!

Thats all it is "A good show", just little kids playing little kids games, the Beatles I think sang about it, "all the people making nowhere plans, in this nowhere land" this crap will go on and on and on, till there is the final battle, oh and what a battle it will be. This is the only way this country will move forward, a complete and final cival war to the very end.

Hail the Red Shirts!!!thumbsup.gifclap2.gifbeatdeadhorse.gifWPFflags.gifpost-4641-1156694005.gif1zgarz5.gif

so the mob of 2k pad political loosers outside and a hundred of hard line democrats mps are suspending the parliament for a week.

it's mock of democratic process.

they are on the margin of history and they should realise it by now. Dinosaurs

Well it's not like they were doing anything for the advancement of the nation. What's the big ticket items on the agenda - changing the constitution (to benefit Thaksin) and changing the law (to benefit Thaksin), both of which are selected as top priority over everything else.

Way to go boys and girls.

And where is the PM? at least she has an excuse. Where is Sonthi? throw a grenade then duck for cover sounds like the tactic.

Army convenes meeting of nationwide unit chiefs, no discussion on PAD protest

BANGKOK, 1 June 2012 (NNT)-Army Commander-in-Chief General Prayut Chan-O-Cha is having a meeting with military officers from across Thailand, with no topics related to the political demonstration on the agenda.

General Prayut said the meeting is a regular gathering; however, the Army is keeping an eye on the situation. Army deputy spokesman Colonel Winthai Suwari said the meeting is held every month as part of the Army's routine.

He added that the meeting is not focused on the ongoing protest by the group called People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), who is opposing the reconciliation bill.

Colonel Winthai said it is the duty of the police to keep the protesters in front of the Parliament House under control. He said the military will step in to help the police upon request if the situation escalates.

According to him, the Army will draw up a maximum security plan to maintain law and order if the situation becomes out of control. The plan will be proposed to the Board of the Internal Security Operations Command chaired by the Prime Minister for consideration before being presented to the Cabinet for approval.

Jatuporn Prompan is and remains a red terrorist as he has always been. Wasn't he free "on bail" and shouldn't he abstain from political interference until his trial? He is actually preaching war....

I don't agree with an elected official trying to pass an amensty bill that would allow a fugitive, her brother back into the country.

I can only hope that there will not be blood in the streets. She will not not be re-elected and should think about stepping down immediately.

Elected or not, this is abuse of power. Seems to run in that family bah.gif

Jatuporn "...the four reconciliation bills, even though the process of creating national unity was in line with democratic system, he said."

And it's working so well! He forgot to mention it may well save him from being executed, but he would, wouldn't he.

It's quite right - Shinawatra is on the run from a prison sentence here in Thailand. That's what this Reconciliation Bill hopes to achieve ultimately - pardons granted, against the decisions of the courts, who make rulings in the name of the King.

That's why everyone's getting all up tight about it.

Let's really make no mistake - Taksin is a convicted criminal, trying to fund his way into a pardon.

Not keen on democracy then?

As is blindingly evident, there is and can be no 'democracy' here in a country so polarised by the ammata versus the 'peasant' class. Where do you think you are?

Again. The ill conceived coup was a terrible mistake from which this country shows no signs of recovery this century.

What are they to do now? Allow Taksin back and take over again? Not even the increaslingly deluded 'red shirts' would allow this now, given Taksin's blowing his cover. And the democrats were shown to be feeble and 'business as usual' regarding the 'elite'.

Answers on a postcard.

Once again Thailand goes on its self destruction trip!

But it is surviving things easily. If you look what happened from 1996-now....If it would happen to any other country it would be a complete wreck.

In Thailand it doesn't matter much....

Its all happening again, same as 2006. Next they will move parliment to Don Muang Airport where the yelowshirt protestor will follow and the red will attack them with granades while they sleep.

Where is this mythical airport,. I have never heard of it, and how could the red shirts throw grenades at people sleeping at a place that does not exist.

I think your belief about 'red shirts' throwing grenades at sleeping people is as misguided as your sense of direction, as far as i can remember nobody was convicted for throwing these grenades although I could be wrong, and I always find it easier to take a post more seriously of it is balanced and highlights the faults and violence from both sides, or are you one of these people that ignores the bombings and violence and damage instigated by the yellow shirts last time round?

Thankfully for all concerned I don't think they have the numbers like they had last time to do any real damage to the country, and one big factor is that this time around I don't think they have the army either.

I think you are a commie hack, unless you just so happen to like 5 point stars and red/yellow motifs. Your mistaken affinity for the red-shirts is transparent, as is your attempt at logic via discourse. You see a typo someone made about an airport and that's your basis for your entire argument against so-called yellow shirts. Also, you underestimate the power of human division -probably because you come from somewhere really repressed. Or worse, somewhere too free to actually understand anything with much depth.

The reds and yellows are both a childish set, Thais are showing their political nature, just as those from all countries where polarity seems to be the reigning factor. Both sides indeed have quite enough power to rip this country apart. How would you know who the Army sides with?

Instead of seizing on such polarity, -try to exert some balance and actually help the world with some insight, -or, go back to waiting in line for your rations with your comrades. And don't led Vladimir Putin trick you into any "deliveries" -stay away from that Polonium-210!

What Jingoism!!

Northern red shirts attend rallies because they are paid. They are fully aware of Thaksin's misdemeaners...and that of most politicians and other government people disregarding the party. They are not stupid...It seems only farang think they are stupid...They aint gonna fight no civil war because of ethics and they aint gonna fight no civil war for 500 Baht..Stop trying to stoke a fire where none exists..

This government trying to get Thaksin back without going to jail is wrong, people blocking entry to parliament is wrong as it is police not doing their job clearing the streets.

Anyway this government was elected democratically, or so it seems. You need to respect it even if you don't agree with them. I was quite anti red until a few time ago, but now I am just anti all colors. The reconciliation thing, the way they are proposing it, is outrageous but it's the job of the opposition to stop that, not riots on the streets (or inside the parliament). All I can see is the army taking over again, and this is not good for anyone (or maybe for just a few).

If 'democracy' means passing a law that not only whitewashes the crimes of a scumbag but also gives him billions of taxpayer money, then no I guess I'm not really keen on it.

I'm usually against mobs like these but in this case, good show Yellow Shirts!

Not keen on democracy then?

HAHAHA how short peoples memories are

The first thing the coup people did was change all the laws to suit themselves and use them to prosecute Thaksin with trumped up charges

Amazing some people LOL

Just like I said a few days ago. Here we go again. Then after the yellow shirts have destroyed parliment house they will move to the airports again, this time it will kill all tourism for Thailand for years. And through on top of that a possible coo coming ( sorry cant spell).

Whilst disagreeing with Carra on each and every post, iI believe you are calling 'commie' (stupid word, are you American?) Taksin, a self vested/interested billionaire laughable and has absolutely nothing to do with the ideals of communism, to which, as a misanthropist, I do not personally subscribe, but find the insane piggery of rampant capitalism equally bad.

I suggest you educate yourself. Marx would be a good start.

PS The PAD never threw grenades, the red shirts were lobbing them over the wall of Government House at the PAD.

How can you be a 'Senior Member' of this forum without knowing where Don Muang Airport is?

Just sayin'
