Schengen To France For Step Daughter Query

Just wondering if anyone has experience with goin to France.

Basically my wife and her daughter came here with an eea permit. Both now have a residence card.

We are looking to go to Disneyland in Paris and as far as I can tell my wife doesn't need z visa, but her daughter does.

It seems we need to show birth certificate etc with translations and marriage because of different surnames obv.

But they also seem to want her fathers passport and maybe even a letter saying we have permission to tale her. This is where I'm confused, because my wife has sole custody as if I remember correctly she needed that to bring her daughter here. We have the court document in Thai but I presume would need it translated? ?

Not sure where/how to do this either.

Her father doesn't have a passport too and he is not really that helpful so no chance of a letter from him.

I'm just about as confused as when I started with the settlement visa, so I was hoping I could get some guidance like the ex ellent help I got here for that (which I am very greatful for)
