Thai Hotels Report 170 M Baht Loss after German Tour Company's Downfall
That would suck, I believe the place I rented on Anahola beach is no longer in business either, but it was a dream come true for me. I spent one night in Honolulu (not a big fan), I wouldn't have but I had to visit an old work companion before taking a short onward flight to Kauai. The Island of Kauai was like vacationing in a small town, also rented a Jeep Wrangler for the occasion, just everything I could've asked for, my type of laidback living style. Even flew around the Island and into the old Volcano while riding shotgun in a helicopter. I love the people (locals) I met on that Island, and I'm jealous of the life they get to enjoy. Now living here in Metropolitan Bangkok, which is like living in Hell on Earth, at least for someone like me. -

No problem at Immigration, just have done it at Hua Hin Immigration for my German Passport without Embassy Letter. -

TM 30 report back after leaving the province?
Whether you need to report or not is down to individual Immigration offices. Some say yes, some say no. On Samui, it is a money earner so I always report when I return to the same home for 24 years now. Here, immigration go out and knock on doors now and again and everyone that I know who has applied for a visa extension is always asked to show their TM 30 -

Did mine a few weeks ago (UK passport).....just followed the IO instructions, filled their form in and went with both passports...job done.....no letter requested. -

TM 30 report back after leaving the province?
It seems to be a minefield again. I remember about two years ago, they scrapped the reporting after being away unless you left the Country. Now, more people are coming forward and saying their immigration office requires you to report again. We all know that each office is a mini fiefdom that make their own set of rules, and until that situation is improved I guess it is best to go and report, just in case. -

Transfer of information from old passport to new passport
I got a new Dutch passport a couple of weeks ago and the BOI OneStop center in Bangkok transferred the visa information without any letter with no problems. After that I went to my bank to update the passport number in their system and got 2 new bank books.
