June 5, 201214 yr Hi. I've just renewed my compulsory insurance and tax. Usually I get 2 stickers yo put on the windscreen but this time only have the one. Now, to pay for your road tax you must have proof of insurance so in affect the Tax sticker on your wind screen serves as proof of insurance.

As mentioned you have to prove insurance before you get the tax sticker. Most insurance company's supply insurance (advertising) stickers with the phone number on it which you can use in case of a accident.
