Sparkles
On the clubs web site so confirmed, the signing of Argentinian keeper Sergio Romero on a free Quite a coup and a meet up with his old boss LVG 60 full internationals,28 years old, 6ft 3" ,3 yr contract with option, sound like a great signing. Already In San Jose and with the team, that was quick. Couldnt imagine he's come as a number 2 so De Gea must be on his way

Known as an excellent shot stopper but struggles at times with corners and not always adept at leaving the comfort of his sticks. I can't see him as a #1 keeper for a contending EPL club but he has surprised me before.

Sparkles
plus if De Gea went wouldn't you then need to sign another keeper ? No we have Lindergard and the young keeper Sam Johnstone who is a excellent prospect. Now your saying "we have another keeper Cillisten in the pipe line", Johnstone has gone to Preston on loan according to the clubs web site. Lindegaard played about 2 games the whole of last season in reserves ,is obviously happy to warm the bench. Romero may have a settling in period but he's more mature than De Gea was on coming to England ,60 full international caps, surely that means something and he's in a stable relationship which De Gea is not with his g/f in Spain. Hope he does go,the last thing you want is a player who doesnt want to be there, especialy between the sticks

Well time with tell of course but 60 full internationals for Agrentina i am sure he had to handle a few uncomfortable moments during that time. Didn't he knock Netherlands out of the WC with penalty saves ? Lindegaard wil be there and no shortage of other second string keepers around, still a while to go until the window shuts and this prolonged De Gea soap opera will reach its conclusion. I just think he's been hugely ineffective and shows signs of being well past his sell by date. A manager of Man Utd is always under a lot of scrutiny and for be he's just been belligerent in his ways and has failed to adapt and understand his squad.
