Retirement Extension Money

Recommended Posts

my friend is 67 years old and has been on a retirement visa for 3 years. he needs to extend in 2 months

he has a pension of 1.900 euro (74.000 baht) he has a letter from the dutch embassy to

confirm this . now some one has told him that he also needs to have 200.000 baht in a thai bank account

i dont believe that is the case but can someone please confirm that his pension is enough for extension

he is not married or anything

thanx in advance

Incoe letter is enough for an extension, but some immigraiton offices might want to see a bankbook with some money in it to verify he has money to spend in Thailand. (No fixed amount for that and if no Bank account in Thailand a few ATM slips should do).
