Nonthaburi Nightlife....

Featured Replies

I am starting to think that the thread title may be a non sequitur, but thought I might pick the brains of any members who may reside in the area I now find myself residing in...

So, I am now safely ensconced in the expat bolt hole that is Nichada Thani and, of an evening, would like to leave this bubble of expat life and venture out into the real world..

Any decent watering holes, either stand alone or hotel-based, where one can quaff a sun downer of an evening, without doing the BTS Asoke to Mo Chit run, followed by the taxi ride home?

Live near Nichada, unfortunately the area is pretty quiet for nightlife but there are a few choices, although don't expect too much as most of it are catered to Thais.

Near the Mall Ngam Wong Wan on Thetsaban Songkhro Road around Tops Market is area sorta like a mini Thonglor, not really clubs more like a place for drinks and live music. Also on the corner of Prachaceun and Changwattana there are two pretty big outdoor restaurants and bars called About Hip and Three Mangoes popular with the locals in the area.

Been to About Hip normally I like the atmosphere pretty relaxed with live a band that usually plays international songs, might be worth checking out.

The Breeze Beer Garden is just past the Central Chaengwattana going to Pak Kret. Nice place. Only been there in the daytime but seems to be a good place to relax and have a cold one. Food is available as well as darts and pool. Parking can be a problem but it is not far from Nichada, if you don't mind a few U-turns to get there.

Plenty of places out here, paulaner beer garden by nichada, 3 mangos, green terrace, rooftop bar at the pak ping ing tang hotel, you see it from the highway by the mall namwongwan, urban square shopping center has a decent beer garden during the season, and a second floor restaurant with an outdoor patio sorry but I can't think of the name... Changwattana has a few places as well... For boys night out beautiful club on prachachuen is always a crowd pleaser, plenty of places around, granted its much easier if you have a few Thai friends or speak some Thai
