Don't know the area myself- but even if you don't find one that's specifically gay, you might simply try to find out where the biggest mostly-Thai discos are and look for the "pink spots" on the dance floor; there'll be sure to be some.

Try the Boat Bar in the Paradise Hotel complex....

Around Paradise Hotel is the gay area of Patong.

Also some other discos, dance clubs with a variety of types, including gay (especially after 2:00 3:00 in the morning).

What happened to midnight closing?

Perhaps the buffalo cart with the instructions has not reached that far south yet?

Not sure....

May have something to do with designated entertainment zones, or the whim of the bar owner, or maybe payoffs to the police.....

But I was in Patong around Christmas, New Year and everywhere was open 'til 2:00am, with a few bars open as long as they had customers often until 3:00 or 4:00, and the discos open until late.

It's 15,000 baht up front and 15,000 per year to stay open late. The heavy cops are all driving black Mercedes with mirrored windows. TIT.
