New British Visa Rules

The British Goverment anounced new rules yesterday coming in next month stating that you must have an income of more than £18600 to get an immigration visa for a spouse, more if they have kids. Just wonder what evidence they are likely to require if you are self employed.

What I find odd about the timing of this is there is a lot of debate about bringing in gay marriages on the basis that not allowing gays to marry is discriminatory but then say that anybody earning less than £18600 can marry anybody from outside the EU.

Rules out almost everybody on a pension and anybody earning less than £9 per hour.
