Applying To Thai University...I Need A Equivalency Certificate From The Ministry Of Education

Featured Replies

First off i know this is the visa section but...there are some really knowledgeable guys on here so i wonder if any of you can help me?

I am going to be applying to university in Thailand, Chula to be specific. I need to present them at the application stage with a Equivalency Certificate from the Thai ministary of education to show that it is sufficent to study in Thailand. I can not find anywhere on the MOE website that mentions anything like this....i was wondering if anyone out there has been through the process and how to obtain an Equivalency Certificate.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Would that be something like a high school diploma? That's the requirement for a Thai applying to a university.

If nothing else, I suppose you could ask at the admissions office at Chula.

They want to see a diploma that qualifies you for entrance into university. Presumably, this has to be certified by the Ministry of Education that your diploma qualifies you.

That might require certification by your embassy and the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but I'm not sure about this. I'm sure Chula can explain where you have to go and what the requirements are.

thanks mario....i have spoken with chula, but the level of english spoken by the co ordinator was not that good, ironic considering his position. I have looked into ABAC and it seems much more geared up for foreign students, also their english program is supposedly better.
