Foundry Photojournalism Workshop And Contest!

Documentary Arts Asia wants to reward documentary photographers and filmmakers working with passion and conviction on quality projects in Asia. DAA is a Chiang Mai based non-profit organization working primarily in photography and film, but also in audio and narrative writing, to tell the stories from Asia that need to be heard.

DAA is currently calling for entires to WIN A SEAT at the 2012 Foundry Photojournalism Workshop. It is open to citizens of Thailand, Laos, Burma/Myanmar, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia & Malaysia who have ben shooting professionally for less than three years and who will be under the age of 30 on the 4th August 2012.

Documentary Arts Asia is acting as the primary local partner for this year’s Foundry Photojournalism Workshop, which will run from the 29th July to 4th August in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The Foundry Workshop is an incredible opportunity for photographers to learn from some of the greatest practitioners working in the world today. This year’s amazing group of instructors includes: Alison Morley, Ron Haviv, Walter Astrada, Andrea Bruce, David Guttenfelder, David Storey, Ashley Gilbertson, Maggie Steber and many more! We want to reward photographers working on quality documentary photography projects in Asia and are offering the opportunity to be involved in this incredible event.

The deadline to enter is JUNE 21ST, 2012!!

So no chance for us then?

I think most regular posters here are out of it, but we must remember we gat about 8-10 readers for every poster.
