Whole Bags In Bkk?

Featured Replies

Hello

To be honest Im not expecting too many replies, if any lol.... Quite a specific question I have here:

The GF has just started selling bags in Hua Hin at a market stall. So far she has brought some bags from JJ and the Cambodian Border. Just low price (100 to 400 baht) bags in bulk.

We are talking about going back to BKK on saturday to get some stock and wondered if anyone here had some tips on other places to check out? Apparentoly there is a market called Bobay?

Any ideas?

Sorry. Not the most interesting post you will ever read.

Bobay would have them.

Wholesale bag locations:

1) Pathunam Baioke area, Enter the soi accross the road from Pathip Plaza. New McDonalds is on the corner of this soi. Walk to the end of the soi. You will see the bags at the end.

2) China Town. Many shops selling wholesale gift bags of every price range. Go to Chakkrawat off of Yaowarat. On this one road alone, as you walk toward the river from Yaowarat, you will see many wholesale bag shops on both sides of Chakktawat. This area has the best choice.

To me Bobe is so huge you could walk it for hours and perhaps not find the "bag area". Extreme heat in the covered sois. But if you will be there anyway you may find the bags since it is a wholesale garment hub.

Hope that helps,

About Bo Bay, it is really 2 markets: the street market that starts early; about 4am with hundreds of independent vendors and the formal wholesale market, about 7 floors of the building under the pink "Prince" hotel.

One of the easiest and most interesting ways to get there is by the Sang Sarb canal boat, easily accessible near the Ratchathewi BTS station. There is a Bo Bay stop.

Unfortunately, the boat does not run in the early morning hours which is the best time to go.
