Garmin Nuvi 1350

Featured Replies

Over a year ago I lent a fellow American who was down on his luck some money. Since I didn't know him very well but did want to help him out, as colateral he gave me his brand new, still in the box Nuvi 1350. He had purchased it in Malaysia so it has the Singapore & Malaysian maps on it. He said he had paid around B12,000 for it. I have no use for it and would like to sell it. PM me if interested.

I hope you didn't loan him too much. I'd be surprised if you can get much more than 3,000 baht for it.

I'm interested. PM me if you don't get any takers. Good luck.

Mac,

Thanks for the info. I had checked Amazon before posting so had an idea what they sold for in the USA. I checked around here (Fashion Island) and a similar model sells for around B11,000.

The Thailand Garmin Nuvi 40 sells for 3,990 baht and it comes with the latest Thailand map that is capable of junction view.

The Thailand junction view will not work with the Nuvi 1350.

Thanks for the additional info. As you can probably guess I dont know much about these GPS gizmos. What exactly is "junction view"? And how important is it to have? Also how does the Nuvi 40 that you mentioned compare to the Nuvi 1350 that I have? Maybe the price difference is because the Nuvi 1350 is a much better unit?

The Nuvi 40 has Thai firmware and is designed to work with the Thai ESRI map that includes junction view. The Nuvi 1350 is a basic US Garmin unit and I can see nothing special about it.

I have not owned either unit so other than what I have read, I have no experience with either unit.

One of my US Nuvi units has junction view but it doesn't work with the ESRI Thai map. Other than that, both my Nuvi units work fine with the ESRI latest version maps. I guess I don't miss what I have never had. Actually I have never seen the junction view work so I can't tell you if it is worthwhile or helpful.

I'm not surprised! Thanks for the price update. But how does this sound. Even if they are B3990 in Malaysia they still sell for over B10,000 here in Thailand. So I think a fair price for my unit would be around B5000. Unless of course you are planning on going to Malaysia but then you will still have a unit with the Malaysian/Singapore maps on it.

5000 baht, that is a strong opening position. I'll open at 500 baht. Counter, accept, no response (I like to do it real estate style)?

OK, thanks for all the replies. Now lets get down to business. I'll sell my Nuvi 1350 for

B4000. I live in Bangkok and travel to Pattaya frequently so customers in those areas will have priority.

You may find that the fastest way to sell it is in free classifieds of ThaiVisa. See the link to it at the top of this screen.
