This forum is ALREADY quite strictly moderated. You want people to be forced to show even MORE restraint? I reckon that would NOT be popular.

If you're afraid, just deal with it. Post anyway. If someone abuses you over the line (read the forum rules) then please REPORT them with the report button. Otherwise, just filter out posts that offend you or don't matter to you, just as in ... REAL LIFE.

I would also point out that you create the world you live in and this post is a perfect example ...... You make a contreversial topic about hostility , naturally their are going to be hostile posts and you should know that , so then you can complain later about the posts that are hostile ...... Who created all that ? You did ..... So complaining about the world you created for yourself and blaming it on everyone else is just more nonsense.

You might think you are being clever or fooling people by baiting them into it but it's not clever and it's not fooling anyone .......... except you might possibly be fooling yourself

I don't fear it, but I expect it. Reading some posts here can really make one realize how smart they are.

I think it's a result of the kind of person that often ends up in a place like Thailand . Failed at home, looking to be a big fish in a little pond, likes how easy it is to get a lovely young maiden to stare lovingly into his eyes and touch his naughty bits. Not all mind you, but many. That's just the men. Don't get me started on the women...

In my experience the average poster is middle aged with a full work record in his chosen field with perhaps a business here too & is therefore far from an idiot. A substantial number of residents are silent visitors to this site because they have been shot down in the past.

TV of late does seem to have sorted it's act out but if the OP is saying it's still going on they need to keep at it.

I feel like you really only 'get to' comment if you agree with the flow of the conversation. It's like sitting in a wine bar with friends. You only open your mouth to comment if you have something to say in agreement.

Sometimes i get carried away in my posting if the topic is interesting. But that makes it fun too. I think general is a harder part of the forum then the sub forums. A lot of good information is found there.

P.s i never been in the army in my life, when my nr came up they abolished the draft in the Netherlands.

Again I don't get what you are saying. You talk about 'imposing the majority opinion" on forum members. How exactly can anyone, especially on an internet forum, impose their beliefs or opinions on anyone else? Unless of course that person is easily lead and doesn't have the strength of their convictions. I'm sorry, but in my opinion your comment carries no weight at all.

Actually i go against the flow whenever i feel like it in here (as long as i feel i got a point). Really you should not worry about that. Maybe you are a bit sensative, but nobody is really going to hurt you. Besides what is the fun if everyone agrees. The forum would be dead.
