Re-entry Visa Rules

Featured Replies

can anybody tell me if it is legal to enter and re-enter the kingdom several times a year on a 30 day tourist visa (extended in immigration to 60 days) I am a British national and my partner is spanish. Our plans are to base ourselves in Thailand for at least 1 year but return home to Spain at regular intervals of 6 to 8 weeks, and also travel to Australia, Malasia, Singapore and other neighbouring countries. Until we decide to sell up and live permanently out there do not want the hassle of long term visas?

A 30 day extension on a 30 day permi at Thai Immigration. I don't think so. Time for a rethink.

I have already done this six weeks ago with no problem- 40 euros and my visa was extended for another 30 days. i JUST WANT TO KNOW THAT IF i LEAVE THE KINGDOM AFTER 60 DAYS WILL I HAVE PROBLEMS RE-ENTERING? And how often can I re-enter?

so far I also have not heard of this kind of extention .

If all is legal you can re-enter the country for unlimited times on a 30 days Entry stamp ,which is no visa ,but

since you n yr partner are West-Europeans they allow this 30days Visaexemption .

You wont have a problem doing this as they will give you a 14 day extention on top of 30 in Thailand if you can show your airline ticket to leave Thailand so that about every 6 weeks you will have to leave the country I have been doing 35 days in Thailand and 35 days in the middle east for 5 years and never had any problems

I did the 30 day visa runs for 18 months back in late 1999-2002, but the rules may have changed since then.
