bjorn2
I have been informed that Thai law states that an employee need to give 1 month notice before they can leave a job in the same way that an employer need to give 1 month notice to fire an employee. But what happens if an employee leaves without notice? Is there any penalty for this, or can they just leave without any consequence? Can I hold back last months salary? In my case the staff left without informing any of the managers. Just left and told it to some friends in the company. I would appreciate any input on how such a situation should be hadled. Sunbelt Asia
You cannot withhold wages owed for work already done, but you are not required to pay them for time they have not worked [sunbelt][/sunbelt]
