pj123
I am arranging a trip for Thai relatives to the UK in September. They are paying so I want to get it right. I would normally fly Etihad or Qatar Airways but I think they would prefer a non-stop flight. BA and TG are charging about £900 per person. Any suggestions which to go with? Have TG upgraded their planes with individual tv screens?
beano2274
Eva also fly direct. I found the screens so small on BA last time I flew. The flight time for the return leg LHR to BKK is fantastic, my wife and MIL slept most of the way home, and the flight to LHR is also good for timing, ca get some good sleep. yermanee
Thai's will almost always prefer TG over any other airline. Yermanee
RabC
TG are using either A340 or upgraded 747 to LHR now and all have seat back TV.
beano2274
make sure you get one of the airline cards and add the family members on it, those points could mean free tickets in the future......
WilliaminBKK
I'd go for Thai - A340-600 the seat pitch is 34 compared to BA @ 31" and EVA @ 33". The seat configuration is 2 4 2- keep in mind if you book on TG's site it will only allow you to select seats in the rear of the aircraft, perhaps a local agent can get you in the forward part of economy class. otissp
Eva air has a premium economy that is really excellent for the money. if they are willing to consider paying a bit more for comfort it's very good value for the money.
pj123
Thanks for the replies. I think I will go with EVA Elite. Only issue is that you can only book a maximum of 4 people online so I will need to go through an agency.
