PATTAYA:--The victim of a necklace snatch reported the alleged crime at Pattaya Police Station on Wednesday evening.

Khun Nongyow aged 29, who was accompanied by friends, reported the theft of a 2 Baht weighted Gold Necklace worth around 50,000 Baht in Soi 17 off Pattaya Third Road in front of PS Mansions as she rode as passenger on a motorbike driven by her friend. Although the robbery was not caught on CCTV, a nearby convenience store caught the two suspects following the victim, seconds before the incident.

Exactly. I wouldn't walk around with 50k in my wallet, let alone dangle it around my neck for every Tom, Dick and Somchai to see. Asking for trouble really, but I suppose I'm not in need of gaining face by flaunting my wealth.
