I have not seen this news myself but my wife tells me that next Saturday, 7 July, some 12,500 Monks will congregate from 07.00 at the Sukhumvit end of Soi Asoke to receive food etc. from worshippers - I am not sure what the exact reason is for this.

But yes, I was told 12,500 Monks so if that is correct there will be untold thousands of people there to to give alms.

Has anyone else heard of this?

If it happens then the whole of lower Sukhumvit will be chaos all day.
