mja1906
Does anyone know the English name for 'Mai fai cha laa' I know that Plywood is 'Maai at' , but how about 'Mai fai cha laa' ? Our mechanic used it, and I'm concerned it may have contained asbestos It's a wood imitation Although, it may have been the smartwood brand (i'm not sure have to check) which i hear is asbestos free

mja1906
Hi, now you mention 'shera wood' I think this is what I mean. When I asked my Thai friend what the English word was for 'Mai Faai cha laaa', he said it was 'Chai laaa' wood, which I think would become 'Shera wood' if you twist the pronunciation a bit. So in this case, excuse my ignorance (I know absolutely nothing about DIY, I confess, I'm a girl!) what exactly is Shera wood? Is that an English term/word? or name for a brand of wood in Thailand? or is it a type of wood , like plywood? In this case, would it contain asbestos? thanks
