I ordered a new E200 with comand online system from the authorized dealer in March. The sales lady called yesterday to say the car has arrived without the command online system. They would like to offer a discount of THB 50,000 instead.

Should I accept the car? What should I do? Thee dealer claims the newest model does not come with this system.

Well I guess if that new model don't come with that system then you don't really have a choice.

You can always go and get a after market system by asking on this thread which is the best to get.

It is virtually impossible, except spending a huge amount of money, to install that system in an existing car.

Have you looked at Command On Line's website?

I am certain the only C Class offered by MB Thailand with COMAND is the C250 CGI. To my knowledge, no C200 has ever been offered by them in this market with COMAND. It seems they miss sold you.

Comand On line offer a very good service, but they're UK based and installation in TH will pose difficulties for you probably.

Mercedes factory surcharge "Command" for E-class when ordering a new car is 3,200 Euros [128,000 Baht]. Retrofit existing car in SG 5,995 SingDollars [151,000 Baht]. Have no idea how much a retrofit in Thailand costs.

They don't normally have COMAND as standard.

The models where you have a choice of COMAND such as the E250 CDI have an 80,000THB surcharge if COMAND is chosen.

Was your list price before discount if any, 3,749,000 or 3,829,000?

In March 2012 Mercedes was selling the E200, 5 speed auto at THB 3.69 million. I waited for the 'new' 7 speed model with comand online at THB 3.79 million. Those were the only options available at that time for E200 CGI.
