Land Rover Safari - Still For Sale?

Some time ago there was an add in the classifieds for a 1980 Superb Land Rover Safari for sale.

I was interested but at the time didn't have the money but I'm now in a better position and was wondering if this Landy was still available.

The ad had the name Chris and a phone number. I phoned the number and spoke to some nice people but but they did not know any Chris and knew nothing about selling a car.

So I was wondering if Chris or if any one on this forum knows him or anyone who knows about this Landy to let me know if this motor is still available, or if you bought, either way I'd like to know.

Many many years ago in a former life and on a different planet my then girlfriend and I did a trip across Africa in one of these Series 3 Land Rovers. We traveled across the Sahara Desert through the Central African jungle and all the way down to Cape Town (Rhodesia still existed in those days) than all the way back to Kenya and spent a great year on a small beach just south of Mombasa.

This Landy reminded me of those times and would be just perfect for my long overdue mid-life crisis.

So Chris if you are reading this or anyone who knows anything about this Landy please PM or leave a message, I would be grateful.

The first on your list is the one I was looking for.

Has the same number as I phoned from the TV ad but will give it another go, maybe i dilled wrong before. It has an e-mail contact as well so should get some answers.

The Lanna Classics looks like a useful site should this deal go through.
