MR. WANLOP DEMANDS GOVT TO ERADICATE DRUGS AND OBSCENE MEDIA

The President of the Committee on Women, Youth and Elderly Affairs, Mr. WANLOP TANGKHANANURAK (วัลลภ ตังคณานุรักษ์)ม has demanded the government to urgently solve problems related with youths, especially narcotics and obscene media.

Mr. WANLOP views that the government still neglects youth problems. Hence, he has requested the government to give more concern over the matters. He said the government should focus on the laws to protect women and children and the laws to punish the violators. He has asked the government to zone entertainment venues and to close down non-registered game shops. At the same time, the government should boost creative activities among youngsters by providing state units with a budget to produce those activities. He deems that the government has to reiterate to concern units in issuing concrete plans to develop children potentials.

He said that his committee is preparing to set up the Youth Watch Center as to follow Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s idea.
