SATTAHIP:--A crazed man damaged 10 cars in the early hours of Tuesday on the Sukhumvit Road in Sattahip District.

Police soon arrived but were initially unable to control the suspect who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. The suspect claimed to be a member of the Thai Army and gave the name Sergeant Somyot, which has yet to be verified. He also claimed to have high level connections and could do what he wanted.

A chaotic scene ensued as Police attempted to handcuff the suspect who broke out of a set of handcuffs before being restrained for a second time by Police and members of the public who were looking to exact their own revenge on the suspect who began the evening by throwing stones through car windows. Eventually the suspect, who claimed he resisted arrest due to a fear of him being killed by those who attended the incident,
