Thai Airways Taking Delivery Of Airbus 380'S

Featured Replies

I am more concerned about TG transferring too many of its routes to Thai Smile. It's frightening. I don't think most people are aware of the extent of the changes.

One of the posters mentioned it a week or so ago with the view of the paint job it has here.

The thread currently lives over in the Pub Forum.

And when do they really get it ? When will it be placed into service ?

You mean French finally managed to sell one ? w00t.gif

The 6 x A380's ordered by Thai Airways are planned as :-

Bangkok – Hong Kong TG600/601 28OCT12 – 14DEC12

Bangkok – Singapore TG409/410 28OCT12 – 14DEC12

Bangkok – Frankfurt TG920/921 eff 15DEC12

Bangkok – Tokyo Narita TG676/677 eff 16JAN13

Bangkok – Paris CDG eff 15FEB13

Bangkok – Paris CDG eff 15FEB13. They must be expecting an upsurge in numbers then. Never flown this route without empty seats., which always surprised me as the alternative was Air France. Maybe I got lucky ?

Interesting info, great! Where did you get it from?

Thai Smile are using THAI Airways TG flight numbers, what a scam cheesy.gif

What's the scam? They are part of TG but operate as a distinct product..

Exactly, it's actually a smart move, all the distribution channels and interline agreements are available directly, so they can focus on the product in itself... and currently it looks good as it is not presented as a low-cost (knowing the previous announcements for Thai Tiger etc.). The target here seems to be Bangkok Airways rather than AirAsia...

Waiting to find out if they'll still hide the champagne behind the orange juice and iced tea on the tray.
