Thai Lakorn

Featured Replies

Hi

Do you know if I can buy Thai lakorns on DVD which are subbed with Thai subtitles? I think it will be good for practising listening and reading skills at the same time.

Thanks.

If you can't find subs, there is a website which has what I think are the actual screen plays or scripts to the Thai soaps.

You can read along and get the videos off youtube. I'm just finishing episode 2 of this one.

I would estimate about 90% of the dialogue used on the show so far was in quotes in the script.

It's not always exact but usually close enough so you know what they said.

If there were any Thai Dramas with subs I think someone would know. Just incase your not aware, Thai PBS has a few shows subtitled for the deaf like this one.

One more thing I know is available but can't point you to directly are Foreign Dramas like from China or Korea or wherever that are dubbed

in Thai and also have Thai subtitles. There were a couple on youtube that I knew of but when I went back to check they both had been removed for legal reasons. One was called White Spring. I have also seen these type of dubbed and subtitled shows playing in a Bank lobby. so one should be able to buy them. I'm not into DVD's so I can't say which ones or how you set up the subs when you play them.

Plus they can be a little irritating when a little 5 year old girl sounds like a middle age lady impersonating a 5 year old girl.

Heres another one with more episodes. It's also from ThaiPBS but I can't seem to find them on their site.
