I'm currently on ed visa but have been hired and contract starts on Aug. 1. They have provided paperwork for Non-B. I was looking at the KL Thai Embassy's website and saw this:

**Upon application time make sure you do not have any valid Thai visa on your passport**

Does this mean there will be a problem changing from an Ed to a B?

Also, since on single-entry Ed-visa, I usually get a re-entry permit, but since changing to a Non-B (hopefully), there should be no reason to get one this time correct?

When you leave Thailand without a re-entry permit your permision to stay in cancelled and you should not have a valid visa anymore. So don't apply for the re-entry permit and apply for the non-B.
