Can I Use My Multiple Entry B Visa Just Before It Expires And Stay 90 Days?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an Australian passport with a Multiple Entry Non Immigrant Business Visa.

The visa expires on 12 September 2012. Can I come back to Chiang Mai, Thailand on say the 10th September and able to stay for 90 days? (even though my visa expired during those 90 days).

Also, I've heard that it can depend on how strict the immigration officer is when you enter - some may give you the 90 days, while others will set the exit date to whenever your visa expires - is this true?

Thanks - your help is much appreciated! :)

You will get 90 days.

Yes, absolutely no problem, assuming you arrive before the 'use by' or 'enter before' date on your visa you will get 90 days.

Be aware that some officers have been reported to interpret the 'before' as just that, before, arriving on that date may or may not net you 90 days.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

It's pretty simple.

The visa (stamped in your passport) is a multiple entry and somewhere is probably printed: "Enter Thailand before 12-09-2012" (maybe in other words, but with same meaning).

Since every entry gives you 90 days..................
