hellodolly
Of course the writer may have his/her own agenda and work for one of the big pharmaceutical companies. Yes, I know there's more to it than my extract but on balance I think I'll stick to the aspartame! ......or maybe the beer. Well, i think the beer's a much better idea... Ayurveda is about 5000 years old. It and yoga go hand in hand, so if the latter's not for you, nor will ayurveda be. Pity because it's a simply amazing body of knowledge and understanding when it comes to living a quality life. If you're lucky it might even allow you to eat aspartame... it would depend on the constitution you were born with! OK you win. I will now leave the thread. There is no talking with some one who approves all those metals being injected into their body one way or another as being good for you. But Aspertame being completely evil no redeeming qualities at all. Proper food is the answer never mind that some people get sick on different types of proper food eat it any how it is the answer. Aspertame will kill you. I surrender to such logic. O I forgot to mention more information on aspartame It would appear that it has a lot less harmful metals than Ayurveda Chemical Name:N-L-a-Aspartyl-L-phenylalanine-Methyl ester Chemical Formula:C14H18N2O5 Molecular weight:294.31 Appearance: A white, odorless, crystalline power granular sweetener having a sweet taste. Taste same as Sucrose, fresh and tasty, no peculiar taste Index of technology: Assay :98-102% Specific Rotation [a]20D:+14.5 +16.5 Transmittance:95%min Loss on Drying105 4hr: 4.5%max Residue on Ignition (Sulfated): 0.2%max PH:4.5-6.0 Arsenic(As): 3ppm max Heavy Metals (Pb): 10ppm max Loss on Drying: 0.2%max Other Related Substance:2.0%max Diketopiperazine (5-Benzy1-3, 6-Dioxo-2-Piperazineacetic Acid):1.5%maxAsper Edited July 21, 2012 by hellodolly
femi fan
Ayurveda's got nothing to do with injecting metals into people. That's absurd. You could of course try pointing out some redeeming qualities of aspartame, if you're still around these parts. I doubt if you'll be able to name one. You seem to have neatly brought the discussion to an end by focusing on the person rather than the debate. Okay, no worries.
Globalight
If you want a decent health care system, read up on ayurveda which is equally preventative and curative. I've never heard of ayurveda but a quick trip to Wikipedia doesn't instil much confidence.... "According to a 1990 study on ayurvedic medicines in India, 41% of the products tested contained arsenic, and 64% contained lead and mercury.[32] A 2004 study found toxic levels of heavy metals in 20% of ayurvedic preparations made in South Asia and sold in the Boston area, and concluded that ayurvedic products posed serious health risks and should be tested for heavy-metal contamination.[59] A 2008 study of more than 230 products found that approximately 20% of remedies (and 40% of rasa shastra medicines) purchased over the Internet from both US and Indian suppliers contained lead, mercury or arsenic.[8][60][61] Ayruvedic proponents believe that the toxicity of these materials is reduced through purification processes such as samskaras or shodhanas (for metals), similar to the Chinese pao zhi, although the ayurvedic technique is more complex and may involve prayers as well as physical pharmacy techniques. However, these products have nonetheless caused severe lead poisoning and other toxic effects.[8][6" Of course the writer may have his/her own agenda and work for one of the big pharmaceutical companies. Most things we consume are considered medicine, atleast I don't need a Viagra to wake me up in the morning sir.. OK I couId not let that one go by a "Viagra to wake me up in the morning sir." I knew it was to help you get up but I didn't realize that people thought that way about it. I do know that if a person takes the time and puts the effort into listing to their body it will often give you a good indication of what you need. Not easily done. Now you take Pepsi Max I drink a fair amount of it at night. My body is tired and wants to go to sleep but I know there is caffeine in Pepsi Max so I drink it instead. That is a case of my body telling me what I don't need and my mind saying I can sleep in so it is OK. edit to keep the spell check police off my back. bobl
edit to keep the spell check police off my back. Given the direction this thread's headed, I'd be far more worried about the repercussions of admitting using caffeine to stay awake, than the smelling police...

I'm glad that someone finally raised the issue of the smelling police. Whether it's the brown polyester uniforms, the large amounts of diesel exhaust and grilled chicken they are exposed to, or the acute olfactory sense that is their sharpest investigative tool, the police play a major role in this whole stinking affair. Why do you think it was so hard to get Pepsi Max in the first place? Huge shipments of the stuff were being diverted to the police force. Come on people, wake up!

Ya but you have to drink a awful lot of it to get as bad as withdrawing from coffee. I had a head ache for a week. Now they are saying a little bit every day is good for you. I guess that was my problem a little bit was actually two pots.
