July 20, 201213 yr Thai consumer confidence index drops by 3% Nielsen report The findings cover the following topics: - Thai consumer confidence index in quarter two 2012 fell to 103.5 points from the 106.9 points seen in the first quarter, resulting in Thailand being the sixth most optimistic country in Asia Pacific – a one place drop from the previous quarter. - Overall outlook on perceived job prospective increased by 14 percent, but six out of ten Thais believed it was not a good time to buy - Economy was still the all-time biggest concern for Thai consumers, but worry over increasing utility bills rocketed as the second-most troublesome issue in quarter two.
