Does anyone know about the new rule introduced recently that all bars in Jomtien are to close at 1AM.

I was told this rule was enacted after a council meeting voted in favour of a 1am closing time to reduce noise levels after consistent complaints from farangs in the area.??

Or maybe complain from the real estate investors...

I thought it was 1 o'clock everywhere in Thailand except 'entertainment zones' for some time now.

I got a letter asking me to petition my MP to restrict the pubs across the road; Sid's and the Gashaus amongst them. Cheeky monkeys. So I need to write a letter saying the only reason I leased the apartment was because I could see Sid's from the balcony...
